This is to inform you that over the next month all Grade 7 students will be writing the Foundation Skills Assessment. They will have 2 periods for Language Arts and 2 periods for Math. Teachers will space out the testing so that it is not all happening on the same day!
This is an annual province-wide assessment of all B.C. students’ academic skills in grades 4 and 7, and provides parents, teachers, schools, school districts and the ministry with important information on how well students are progressing in the foundation skills of Literacy and Numeracy.
There is nothing for students to study or prepare for and should not be cause for stress. Please connect with any of the Grade 7 teachers or Mrs. McNeilly if you have any questions or concerns.
