Week of November 1st…

I’m really not sure how I’m already writing the month of November… time is flying! We are having lots of fun! Students have been working hard on their Personal Narratives and will be publishing them this coming week. It will be fun to read the end results! 🙂

The Grade 7s are also writing the written portion of the FSA (Foundation Skills Assessment) this next week. Most have done the online portion and it went very well. There is nothing to prep for this. It does not count towards their marks at school, but is a provincial assessment used by the Ministry of Education. Students will write the math portion with Miss Guetter over the next few weeks as well.

And… because of this… there will be NO spelling test next week.

In French, students are working on creating their own food truck…menus, slogans, recipes… Lots of fun! We will also be connecting with a school in Burundi, Africa in the next couple of weeks to have a language partnership. What a blessing this will be!

For Friday:

  • Egyptian Pharaoh Presentations (students have had ample class time to prepare and will have one more class before Friday)
  • BMV: James 1 : 2-3 – “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.”

Author:

Lover of Jesus, my family, teaching, ice cream, camping, my dog, chocolate, Disneyland, reading, quiet time, tea, coffee and all things curriculum!
