We had a full week last week…slowly getting into routines too. I am thoroughly enjoying this class and it’s a treat to be with them each day. 🙂
SOCIAL STUDIES:
We have begun our study on Ancient Egypt – looking at present-day Egypt and examining the geography of Ancient Egypt. Next week we will do some “stations” activities to look at other aspects of Ancient Egypt before embarking on some group projects about various pharaohs.
LANGUAGE ARTS: We are doing a mini-unit about “comparing and contrasting” as well as starting our spelling program. The first test will be on Wednesday…students will need to write the word correctly as well as write the word in a sentence to show they understand the meaning. This week we are reviewing and focusing on the short “a, e, i” sounds.
